Cherry Street Apartment

Every building design begins with site analysis. This project was an exercise in fitting a new single-family residence on a lot with an existing duplex that faced the street.

Several iterations were studied to consider parking access, yard usage, solar orientation and scale. The result was a compact rectangular residence with tandem parking. All the major functions and views face west to a large shared yard space.

With a small budget in mind, roof bearings were kept at the same height.
